On Tuesday, the 13th of October, we learned all about passive verbs!
As usual, we accessed the Nearpod app to complete some activities and practice this new topic.
We had to think of examples with the passive voice. Like, for example:
I gave Lucy the book.
Direct object as subject: The book was given to Lucy
Indirect object as subject: Lucy was given the book
In addition, we also watched a short scene from Harry Potter, where examples of the passive voice could be heard; as well as another video that talked about the differences between HAVE and GET.
Finally, we were given examples of phrases using HAVE SOMETHING DONE.
